We are working to build back up healthy soil on this neglected field which was previously stripped of it's topsoil and used as a gravel pit. We work with our small closed herd of Nigerian Dwarf Goats to eliminate tillage and fertilizers, rotationally grazing heritage pigs, and adding organic matter to invite microbes back to the party.
Barn Bird Farm ethically and sustainably raises a variety of animals. Jumbo Pekin Ducks, Rex Meat Rabbits, Heritage Chickens (Barred Rock, Black Copper Maran, Americauna, Olive Eggers), Berkshire Pigs and Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats.
